WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH MEN TODAY? VIEWER DISCRETION : Horror!!! Pastor Arrested Over Attempted Murder of Wife .. Wife In Critical Condition ... AfricanOutlook.

A Pastor with a branch of The Apostolic Church in Ogun State, southwest Nigeria, Daniel Samuel has been arrested by the police for allegedly attacking his wife, who is now on danger list at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, with a matchete.

AfricanOutlook gathered, that the cleric was reported to have at various times alleged that his wife, Patience Udoji Samuel was not participating in prayer meetings and other church programs, and decided to teach her a bitter lesson.

The 45 year old pastor who oversee a church in Ode-Remo town, was said to have traveled down to Owode-Egba in Obafemi Owode local government area of Ogun State, where his wife works as a petty trader and violently attacked her following an argument between them.

However, realising the havoc, he allegedly raised alarm in the community, deceiving residents that the victim was attacked by unknown person(s).  He thereafter rushed to police station to lodge same complaint.

Reacting to the sad development,an elder brother of the victim, Samson Akpikie noted that a family meeting was earlier scheduled for Sunday (December 15,2013) over the couple differences before the sad incident took place. However, upon further investigation by the police, the husband was said to have confessed to the crime and subsequently detained.

The Ogun Command Police Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the incident adding that the Pastor will soon be charged to court. Adejobi stated further that the Pastor initially lied to the Police before he later confessed after interrogation adding that the Pastor will be charged for false information and wounding.

His words: "The Pastor is with us, he initially lied to the Police that the wife was attacked by some men but later confessed after interrogation. As such he will soon be charged to court for false information and wounding,"
