The Borno State House of Assembly yesterday at its sitting impeached the Majority Leader of the House, Idrissa Njidda.
NJidda represents Ngala State Constituency, the country home of former Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff.
His removal follows recommendation from the APC stakeholders in Borno State who accused him of anti party activities.
It would be recalled that Sheriff had recently announced his plan to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and there are insinuations that almost half of the members of the Assembly were planning to follow him.
The ousted lawmaker is reportedly a frontline supporter of Sheriff and had planned to join the PDP.
