During the burial ceremony of the late Supreme court justice,
Chukwudifu Oputa, things turned dramatic when the son of the late judge,
Charles Oputa popularly known as Charleyboy humiliated the governor of
Imo state, Rochas Okorocha.
The event occurred at the Sacred heart catholic church, Oguta.
Charleyboy emphatically refused to allow the governor make his speech.
Immediately the governor held the microphone to speak, Charleyboy
jumped up from his seat to snatch the microphone from him. Not even
pleas from Bishop Matthew Kukah could dissuade Charleyboy.
This isn’t the first time Charleyboy is having issues with Gov.
Okorocha. He also walked out on the governor during the Imo State
organized Day of Tribute in honour of the late Justice, when the
governor climbed the podium to make his speech.
On Friday, Gov. Okorocha was so upset by Charleyboy’s behaviour that
he walked out of the service together with his commissioners and
security aides.
Immediately after that, the crowd began to disperse for apparent fear
of possible breakdown of law and order as security men battled to bring
the situation under control.
