Mumbai: A 26-year-old patient has been allegedly raped by a doctor in a clinic in a Mumbai suburb. Her husband claims the doctor offered him bribe to hush up the case and managed to get away with the help of the police.
Protests were held on Saturday outside the local police station in Khar - where the clinic is located - after the woman's family alleged that the police were reluctant to register a case.
"I want the doctor to be punished. The police did not help us. Instead they let the doctor get away," said the rape survivor.
Her husband said: "The police allowed the doctor to travel in his car instead of bringing him to the police station. The doctor went missing. He also tried to bribe me."
