Former Head of State and 2011 presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change, Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari, has said he would contest the 2015 presidential election on the platform of the proposed All Progressive Congress.
Speaking at a conference with the theme: “The Role of Youths in Sustaining Democratic Values,” held at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre Minna, Niger State, Buhari said he would not step down his presidential ambition unless defeated in the primaries or general election.
Reacting to a question on the possibility of him stepping down in case more candidates emerge on the platform of the party, Buhari said: “Whoever thinks he has got a chance, let him come out because the more we are, the merrier it becomes.”
