HABA NIGERIA : N225m BMW Scam: Melaye, APC, G-7 Govs Behind My Ordeal ... Absent at Weekly FEC Meeting ... Stella Oduah Alleges

Embattled Nigeria’s Aviation Minister, Princess Stella Oduah, has alleged a former federal lawmaker from Kogi State, Dino Melaye; the opposition party, All Progressives Congress, APC; and the G-7 Governors under the new Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP; of being behind her ordeal.
This defence was made on Tuesday through the spokesman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Yakubu Dati. This recent development clearly contradicts a statement earlier released by Oduah’s spokesman, Joe Obi, who admitted that the two BMW bullet proof cars believed to worth N225 million two were actually purchased for the Minister for her safety.
Dati claimed that Oduah is only being used by the opposition as a sacrificial lamb to get at President Jonathan in order to frustrate his alleged second term ambition in 2015.
“Nigerians must also note that the main target of this sinister plot is President Goodluck Jonathan who must be stopped from running for re-election in 2015, in line with the dictates of the G7 [governors], who have demanded that Okonjo Iweala, Alison Madueke, and Princess Oduah must go as a condition for a truce (?),” Dati noted.
He added that, “the poorly organised circus show by APC strong-man, Dino Melaye, has finally unmasked the masquerade dancing under the mask. The phantom linkage of the Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah to the purchase of official vehicles by NCAA has assumed a comical dimension as every car, bus and van in all the aviation agencies now allegedly belong to the Minister of Aviation.”
“This is not with-standing the fact that the NCAA has come out to clarify the issue that entered into the transaction,” said Dati.
He further explained that, “Nigerians are mischievously sold the lie that the cars have been paid for; meanwhile, they were purchased on higher purchase and payments are yet to even commence.”
Dati described Oduah as a “rising star of this administration.”
Nigerians have asked President Jonathan to sack Oduah if she fails to honourably resign from office.
Meanwhile, the House of Representatives has begun a probe into the purchase of the controversial cars.

Under-fire Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah, on Wednesday, was not present at the weekly Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting held in Abuja.
Oduah has been under harsh criticisms since the alleged forceful acquisition of two BMW bullet proof cars worth N225 million for her by NCAA broke last week.
At the FEC meeting held on Wednesday, the Minister was missing and the reason for this was not known or disclosed.
Many Nigerians have called for her sack, while the House of Representatives has started investigation into the embarrassing scenario. She has reportedly been making moves to save her job.
On Tuesday, spokesman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, alleged that the opposition party is only trying to used Oduah to attack President Jonathan through the car scandal.
