My name is Susan, I am 16 years old, please, help me. I have a problem with my uncle; my daddy’s younger brother, as he wants to have sex with me. I have finished senior secondary examination, but waiting to retake my papers because I couldn’t make some vital ones.
My mother works in Abuja, my siblings and I live with our daddy in Lagos. My uncle came to Lagos for his NYSC and stays in our house. The first time he made a pass at me, I thought he was joking, because I have seen him and our househelp in a very compromising position more than once.
I tried to tell my daddy what his brother is trying to do with me, but he did not believe me. He equally did not allow me to tell my mummy, because he told her first, and when I tried telling mummy, she equally did not believe me.
Please, how can I make them believe me? I hate my uncle. Please, help me.

Dear Sarah,
I appreciate the fact that you have refused to allow your uncle lure you into what could eventually be a big problem for you. I will also advise that you must not, for any reason, allow him convince you. Please, say no and mean no.
I am very sure that your parents will listen to you if you are persistent. Of course, you would not expect your uncle to answer in the affirmative when asked. Make your mother especially see reason with you.
If need be, you could get a witness, probably one of your siblings to always be at hand or close by whenever your daddy is not around and your uncle is at home.
You must also make sure that you don’t stay at home with him alone. Avoid being unnecessarily close to him, until you can convince your parents and they would find a lasting solution to this issue.
