NOW THAT THE HUNTER IS HUNTED ... NASSARAWA IMPEACHMENT FALLOUT : Al-Makura: APC youths protest absence of lawmakers ... TribuneNews

YOUTHS, under the aegis of All Progressives Congress (APC) across the 13 local governments areas and 17 development areas in Nasarawa State, on Tuesday staged a peaceful protest over the prolonged absence of the state lawmakers for legislative business.
The state APC youth leader,  Abdulkadir Maiyau, while speaking with newsmen in Lafia, the state capital, said the protest was to assure the lawmakers that nobody would attack them over the purported 16-count charge finally been quashed by seven-man panel set up to investigate Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
He lamented that having exhausted their period of recess, their absence was already threatening the legislative process which suppose to have enhanced good governance in line with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The youth leader expressed dismay at the utterances of the Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, over the impeachment saga, saying his recent comments and that of Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) state chairman, Chief Yunnana Iliya, might cause confusion in the state.
According to him, “we are disappointed with Mr Maku for personally leading a protest rally in support of the impeachment  move against Governor  Al-Makura.  He is supposed to act as a leader to the state and not that of a political party.”
Abdulkadir cautioned youths in the state against being used by selfish politicians to foment trouble, stressing that youths must avoid acts capable of causing havoc in the state and society at large.
