THE WICKED LIBERIAN CALLED SAWYER CLAIMS ANOTHER VICTIM : NCAA suspendS Air Gambia from Nigeria ... TribuneNews

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended Air Gambia from operating in Nigeria.
A copy of the suspension order, which was signed by the acting director general of the regulatory agency, Mr Benedict Adeyileka and made available to the media on Friday night, attributed the suspension to the unsatisfactory measures so far taken by the management of Air Gambia to prevent the spread of the deadly ebora virus disease (EVD).
According to the letter dated August 8, 2014, “NCAA wishes to draw your attention to the recent cases of spread of ebola virus disease which has resulted in reported cases of 1,700 infection, out of which there have been 932 deaths as at date from the outbreak of the disease across West Africa region, particularly in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
“You will recall that a Liberian citizen who arrived Lagos from Monrovia, Liberia via Lome, Togo,  eventually died.
“As you are aware, all ports of entry into Nigeria, including airports, seaports and land borders have been placed  on red alert so as to prevent the spread of the virus. Part of the efforts put in place by NCAA was to direct all airlines operating into Nigeria from Guinea, Freetown and Liberia to put in place adequate measures to ensure that passengers with the disease are not boarded and brought into the osun try.
“Such measures may include suspension of lights into these countries. NCAA  has reviewed the measures put in place by your airline as contained in your letter of 30th July, 2014 and have found these measures unsatisfactory.
“Consequently, your flights into Nigeria have been temporarily suspended with immediate effect until such a time that you are able to put in place acceptable and satisfactory measures.
“Please accept the assurance of my highest consideration.”
