Scores of worshippers have been feared dead following the collapse of a building in Synagogue Church, Ikotun, Lagos.
The incident which occurred at about 2pm claimed the lives of many who were lodged in the 5-storey building owned by the Church.
The affected building is said to be reserved for foreigners visiting the Church to seek spiritual help.
It was gathered that three ambulances which came for rescue were filled with dead bodies of those who died in the incident.
Although the building is already occupied, sources said that there is ongoing construction on top to provide more accommodation for worshippers.
Over 15 bodies have been evacuated from the scene of the collapsed building in the premises of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Ikotun in Lagos, DailyPost has learnt.
Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, Friday, Adeboayo confirmed the recovery of the dead bodies, adding that rescue operations were on to evacuate injured persons.
The six-storey building under construction in the Synagogue Church collapsed around 1.00 pm on Friday.
