A middle-aged man identified as Ayorinde Igbasan is in trouble over the death of his girlfriend, Tope Ajibade who he allegedly killed last Tuesday.
DailyPost gathered that late Miss Ajibade met her untimely death at Ayeka New Site Okitipupa, in Okitipupa local government area of Ondo State.
It was learnt that the man, after committing the crime made an attempt to commit suicide.

According to a source, Ayorinde and the deceased were in a relationship but it later went sour following an allegation levelled against Tope that she was having an affair with another man.
The source added that, both lovers engaged in a hot argument on the fateful day on the said issue of infidelity .
The suspect was enraged since he had spent a huge sum on her already, even though the deceased reportedly denied the allegation. Her denial allegedly prompted the scuttle that led to her death.
The source narrated that during the free for all, Ayorinde brought out a knife and allegedly stabbed his lover severally after which he attempted to use the same knife to slit his own neck but the people around who rushed to the scene to intervene.
Tope reportedly gave up the ghost on her way to the hospital while Ayorinde survived and he is still receiving treatment at the hospital.

Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations (PPRO ), Wole Ogodo said the suspect has been transferred to the State Trauma Centre, Ondo for further treatment .
According to him,” Preliminary investigation is still in progress over the matter, but the suspect who was unconscious earlier is now responding to treatment at the hospital.
