Police in Ilasamaja Police Station in Isolo area of Lagos State have killed a suspected shop burglar in the neighbourhood. The middle aged man was reportedly shot dead in the early hours of Tuesday while allegedly attempting to rob a food stuff store in the area.
Information gathered by Aproko247 reveals that the suspected burglar and two others burgled a shop owned by one Mama Jide located on Salako Street in Ilasa, Isolo, Lagos.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 3:20am on Tuesday.
“It was while they (the burglars) were robbing the shop that the police came to the scene. One of them attempted to run but was shot by the police while two others were arrested,” a resident in the area told our correspondent when Aproko247 visited the area on Tuesday morning.
The lifeless body of the suspected robber was displayed at the Ilasa police station.
A police source at the station confirmed to Aproko247 that two others were apprehended and are reportedly in the police custody.
Meanwhile, the items allegedly stolen by the robbers were also displayed at the police station. The food items include bags of rice, kegs of groundnut oil, cartons of noodles.
