CREATING DISTRACTIONS IN THE POLITICS OF LAGOS STATE ... CASTING SPELLS FOR 2015 : Group seeks for Christian gov in Lagos

Apressure group in Lagos State, The Christian Conscience, has reiterated its commitment to ensure that a Christian emerge as the next governor of Lagos State in 2015 after the completion of the second term of the incumbent Governor Babatunde Fashola. The group also sensitised Christians in Lagos State on the need to increase their participation in politics and governance.
Speaking at a seminar organised by the group at the Chapel of Light, Alausa in Lagos, the Chairman, Planning Committee for the seminar, Dr. Wale Shobowale, noted that out of 164 months of civilian administration in Lagos State, the only Christian governor in the state, Sir Michael Otedola, was in charge for only 14 months.
The chairman of the occasion and a former Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture and Cooperatives, Mr. Enoch Ajiboso, in his address said “it is time for Christians to stop saying politics is dirty,” adding that, “if politics is dirty, then Christians should go and clean it up. Politics is a noble calling and it is too central to human existence to be left in the hands of political jobbers.”
