The meeting was held inside the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa with the former President curiously absent.
Tuesday
night’s meeting was the second unsuccessful attempt to elect a new
Chairman for the BoT with several interests in the party refusing to
agree on a consensus candidate.
THEWILL
gathered that another meeting has been slated to hold in 3 weeks while a
committee was set up to look at how to reduce the membership of the
BoT.
Twelve
members of the Board of Trustees in the race for the Chairman are Dr
Alex Ekwueme, Dr Ken Nnamani, Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo, Dr Ahmadu Ali, Chief

Olayinka, Chief Yekeen Adeojo, Senator Onyeabor Obi, Chief Harry Akande
and Chief Shuaibu Oyedo.
THEWILL gathered that 8 candidates were barred from the race because they are not members of the PDP’s BOT.
