Six suspects were yesterday paraded by the police and the State Security Service for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping of actress, Nkiru Sylvanus.
The suspects paraded include Ndidi Cletus, also known as Matthew Ofurum; Stanley Asouna; Aminu Musa; Muhammed Abubakar; Obinna Okolisa, and Samson Onwuka.
The leader of the gang, Ndidi Cletus, 30, is a former mobile police constable who was dismissed in 2007.
He allegedly confessed to joining the police in 2004 with the name, Matthew Ofurum.
Other members of the gang include Musa, 40, said to be a cattle trader and battery charger from Taraba State; Abubakar, 34, a cattle rearer from Nasarawa State, and Okwolisa, a trader and Keke NAPEP operator.
Sylvanus, a special assistant on public affairs to the governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha was abducted alongside two others, Kenneth Okolie and Uche Okolie at a movie location in the state.
They were reportedly kept in the bush around Avu junction for six days.
They were, however, released after forcing the victims to cough out the sum N8 million as ransom.
The kidnapping gang have reportedly confessed to carrying out several other kidnapping operations which fetched them N1.9 million, N3 million, and N1.5 million respectively.
