A group, the Coalition of Mothers for Good Governance in Nigeria (COMOGG), has called on Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State to declare interest in the 2015 presidential election.
They made this appeal, yesterday, via a press statement signed by the organisation’s national coordinator, Hajiya Juwairiyya Abubakar during the inauguration ceremony of the coalition in Kano State.
It was stated that, for the nation to move forward, there is need for a focused and purposeful leadership. Governor Kwankwaso is both focused and purposeful, the statement added. In addition to giving the state a positive look in terms of infrastructural and human development, he has empowered women in the state.
“COMOGG deems it fit to tell the world that there is need for the Kano State governor to replicate his achievements across the nation.
We have made several consultations with stakeholders within and outside the state. It is in view of this that we are pleading with Governor Kwankwaso to contest the 2015 presidential election. We will continue to plead with him till he answers,’’ the statement added.
