SEN (?) BUKAR ABBA IBRAHIM REPLIES PASTOR AYO ORITSEJAFOR : “Oritsejafor wants us to continue killing ourselves rather than dialoguing and getting peace” – Senator Bukar Ibrahim

The former governor of Yobe State, Senator Bukar Abbah Ibrahim (Yobe East:ANPP), remarked that the leader of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor is in support of the Northern insecurity in the country.
He spoke, yesterday, to newsmen at the Senate Press Centre, National Assembly complex on matters revolving around the refusal of the North to support the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB).
Senator Ibrahim said that the government was favouring the south-south and marginalizing the North with its economic policies. He said the 13 percent derivation fund was a cash cow for the oil producing region.
Senator Ibrahim wondered why the government was not developing the resources of other regions within the country to balance the scales.
He questioned why over N2 trillion worth of projects were being executed in the North, whereas only N90 billion were being completed or abandoned in the North.
Commenting on the remarks of the CAN leader on the call for dialogue with Boko Haram, the senator said he was not surprised Oritsejafor is not in support of the talks.
He said Oritsejafor could not feel the intensity of the carnage being caused by Boko Haram.
