ANIMAL IN HUMAN SKIN : Man beheads baby, rapes mother in Ogun ... SunNews

A middle-aged man, who allegedly beheaded a two-year old boy in Ofada village, Owode-Egba in  Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of  Ogun State is  cooling off in police net.
According to the state  Police Command, the 37-year-old suspect identified as  ‎Mamodu, is a Nigerien and he allegedly committed the crime shortly before he raped the mother of the boy.
Mamodu was said to have committed the crime on Wednesday, while the woman was easing herself in a  bush in the town.
According to eyewitness account, the suspect pounced on her with the baby tied to her back and dragged the duo into an uncompleted building.
“It was in the building that he raped the woman, stabbed her and killed the boy before he severed his head from his body,” the source said.
It was further gathered  that the suspect, whose activities had been under close watch, was later trailed to the building but he escaped.
“Although he escaped from the scene of the crime, he was later arrested at Ibafo within the same  council area during which he  confessed to the crime,” the  witness told journalists.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer,  Muyiwa Adejobi said the suspect was arrested with the help of some community leaders in Ibafo.
According to him,  further interrogation of the suspect revealed that he had sold the head of the boy to a woman in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.The  PPRO who said the command had commenced discrete investigations, assured said that detectives were on the trail  of  the buyer  of the boy’s head.
At the scene of the crime yesterday, the suspect confirmed raping the woman as well as killed her son by severing his head which he admitted  he later threw into  the bush.‎He also informed the detectives that there was a woman in Ibadan, whom she was working with.‎
Daily Sun  learnt that the remains of the boy had  been buried while the raped -mother is said to be responding to medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital in the state.
