BEATING THE SAME OLD PATH : 2015: Groups Plan 10-million March To Force Jonathan To Declare ... LeadershipNews

Nigerian President Jonathan Goodluck considered suspending his country's World Cup team because of its poor play in the soccer tournament.
More than 200 political groups gathered in Abuja on Monday to strategise on mobilising a 10-million march at the end of April to compel President Goodluck Jonathan to declare his intention to run for a second term in office come 2015.
Addressing the journalists in Abuja, national coordinator of the Goodluck Initiative for Transformation (GIFT) Engr. Chinedu Okpalanma, said the voices of 10 million Nigerians, who had indicated interest to join the march could not be wrong, adding that their only demand was for Jonathan to immediately declare his re-election bid.
He said, “The voices of 10 million Nigerians cannot be wrong. We are growing by number daily, and our demand still remains that we want President Jonathan to immediately declare so we can kick-off our programmes for his re-election.
“We know this is a burden we are placing on him, but we believe he is a gift from God to us to help reposition Nigeria as true giant of Africa.”
The GIFT national coordinator, therefore, revealed that if the President failed to make his interest known before April 30, the group would be left with no option than to organise the 10-million march.
