If revelation made today by Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha of Imo State is anything to go by, then, seven unnamed ruling Peoples Democratic Party’s governor may be on their way to joining the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC.
Gov. Rochas Okorocha made this disclosure today at FESTAC Town, Lagos where the APC had a solidarity rally in honour of the Gen Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the party.
According to the Imo State governor, the yet to be named 7 PDP governors will today meet with the leadership of the APC to fine-tune their defection.
Okorocha who spoke to the mammoth crowd in pidgin English said; “Make a tell u one secret, make una no tell anybody oo, as we de talk with you, seven governors we no be APC go meet with us today on how to join us”
Okorocha has earlier stated that Buhari’s victory, come March 28 had already been stamped. He further stated that the opposition who have looted the nation’s treasury are jittery and are planning to go on exile as soon as Buhari is declared winner.
Others who spoke at the Lagos Rally were Gov. Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State and Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, the Gubernatorial candidate of APC, Lagos State.
Fashola urged Lagosians to ensure they vote for continuity in Lagos and vote for Change at the federal level. He however stated that voting for APC is a vote for the peoples’ well-being.
Akinwunmi Ambode in his own campaign message, reiterated his commitment to ensure a better Lagos. He however promised more aggressive infrastructural development across all the 37 LCDAs and 20 Local Government in the state.
