A 21-year-old man,  Chukwuka Agbeze has been arrested by officials of the  Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Ebonyi State over the alleged rape of a 7-year-old girl.
The suspect, Agbeze claimed the victim asked to be raped, a request he acceded to so as not to hurt her feelings.
Agbeze was arrested after the victim told her parents she had been violated.
Eagle Online reports:

During interrogation, the suspect said: “It’s true that I had canal knowledge of Ogechi but it was only once and not twice as she claimed, what happened was that she came to me and willingly demanded for sex from me and I did it.”
As soon as the news broke, parents of the girl had rushed her to hospital for medical attention.
It was gathered that the sexual violation of the girl started in 2012.
She was first accosted and attacked one evening by Chukwuka on her way to the toilet. Chukwuka had forcefully defiled her, but warned her sternly not to tell anybody.
Since then, Chukwuma had made it a point of duty to always wait and attempt torape the little girl, but she had always bolted until last year when he eventually raped her for the second time.
Chukwuma however said that it was only once he had defiled the girl, not twice as claimed by the girl. Parents of the girl described the action of the suspect as unfortunate, regrettable and condemnable but regretted that the suspect might go scot-free because they are relations.
The girl’s parents said: “We are speechless because the boy involved is our relative, blowing the case up is like washing our dirty linens in the public, so what he should do is to settle the hospital bill of our daughter and quickly too.”
The suspect’s parents were visibly devastated by the act of their son.
They stated that the act was incestuous but appealed to the parents of the girl to allow the matter to be resolved amicably by the both families.
