Sanusi Lamido Sanusi
Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has cleared the air on allegation that the Presidency may have forced him to commence pre-retirement leave from April 1, 2014, two months before his tenure is expected to expire.
Sanusi who spoke during a meeting with staff of the apex bank yesterday in Abuja, said he is stepping down as CBN governor on June 1, 2014 and he is not being forced to embark on a pre-retirement leave as widely reported in the media.
LEADERSHIP reliably gathered that he told the staff at the meeting that “There is no pre-retirement leave for me, at least I haven’t applied for one, but I will be stepping down by June 1; I always put this nation first.”
Sanusi also told his staff that he had done nothing to apologise for.
“For the past four and a half years that I’ve been in the bank, I don’t think I’ve done anything to apologise to anyone for; I’m not saying sorry for anything and I don’t see myself saying sorry.”

  1. Yeah. 55 retirement communities are springing out all over the place because it really is nice to retire in such a nice community where you are sure that you will be taken good care of and your needs will be given as you age.
